In the article Footprints in a Digital Age (by: Will Richardson) state how Google and other technology as such is affecting most of us today whether we like it or not. The article states that even children as young as 7 years old are on the web and exploring web sites. World of War Craft is another place were kids and older adults play this to meet new people and hang out with old friends; this is just one of many social places where people, friends, new friends, and family socialize with each other. In a survey of the National school Boards In 2007 had announced that 80 percent of young people who were online networking and 70 percent were discussing educational related topics. It also states that how kids should get more engaged in technology and knowing whats safe and whats wrong on the internet. I beleve that people should get engaged with technology but not completely reliable on the technology that we have today; but, we need to keep all of the things that we need to live incase that we happen to lose all of that technology we still would have all the skills we would need to survive.

N.Y. Mexicans More Likley To Keep Job.
Mexican New Yorkers Are Steady Force in Workplace (New York Times). Tells how Mexican New Yorkers Have a higher percentage of keeping their jobs than any other immagrant group. Why is this; the information given said that more immagrants from mexico have come illigelay so they don't have any papers; scared that they'll get deported they do not give out thier real last names and bribe the owners that they'll do not have to be payed minimum wage; For that reason the owners look for immagrants like this to work for them. The owners also like these kind of workers because "They are very, very humble. They'er dedicated, wheather they work half a day or a day and a half." stated a bussiness manager. Because most of them are illigaly here they are less likely to report abuses to the authorities in frear of deportion. About 76 percent of of all Mexicans between the ages of 16 and 65 are either looking or have a job; about 96 percent have jobs. Nation wide that figure is 94 percent. About three in every five Mexican immagrants have jobs."Employers love them because they want to work as many hours as they can," said Robert C. Smith, a professor at the Baruch Collage and leading expert on the Mexican diaspora in New York. "Mexicans work in order to survive." Stated 35 year old mexican Alex. Agustin left his wife and children in Mexico to work in the U.S.A he spent the first years in construction then the down turn in the housing projects foced him to finding a job this year at a supermarket in Bensonhurst; he now works 12 hours a day and 7 days a week and is paid $4 a day $3 less tan minimum wage he sends whatever he can back to Mexico. why dose this matter to us? Well if we think back to our history we find that the same things are happening to our immigrant workers than back then and we all know how that can inrage a culture and cause a major diffrence. So please think about the people and what they do for a living before judging them

Is Google Making us Stupid?
In the articel Is Google Making us Stupid? (By; Nicholas Carr). States that peoples minds are changes by the way they read the texts now a days. All because of the internet today, stating that the more we read shorter pasages on the internet the less we are able to read long paragraphs do to the adjustment of the shorter paragraphs on the web. People now say that they are not able to read long passages that used to come natural to them. In the artical it states that the informantion their reading from the media today has to be swift like a guy on a jet ski and in a swiftly moving stream of particals, meaning that if a pararagh is not as small and as detailing as it should be thenthe reader will wonder around and will have trouble focusing on the reading. This has happend to alot of people today I can't say it has happend tome because I dont read anything much at all, and just the other day I read a three page artical without even thinnking of anything els. It might have been the fact that it was an introsting artical and i just couldn't look away I had to find out what happend at the end. I feel that technology is making us dumber but it's hard to find it out your self because it just dosen't come in a second it takes a long time to finaly realize and do something about it. We learn more by reading huge text books or alot of small ones, but how efficent is that on the web all the info you would wantcomes at a simple type and click. If it's eather cooking a hot dog to what the atomic mass of magniseun.

.U.S. Student Became Mexican Drug Kingpin
A .U.S. Student Became Mexican Drug Kingpin (artical by; "New York Times") shows truly that even a good citizen can truly turn into public enemy NUMBER 1. The world today is getting worse but how worse? Edgar Valdez also known as La Barbie. Edgar born a middle class suburban nieghborhood, Kids and friends teased Valdez by calling him barbie because of his looks, the name stuck. Three decades later he was assiciateed with being one of the most powerful and savage drug dealers. Valdez was a high school football star. His father was a shop owner and beleved in church work and the value of education. As his siblings went to collage and move forward in life Valdez moved to Mexico after being indicted in the 1990's on charges of dealing marijuana. He later became the leader of the violent gang known as the Beltran-Layva which engaged in almost constant warfare with other drug dealing gangs. After so many years of multimillion dollare bountys for him police finaly arrested him he was 37 at the time. "How dose this relate to me"?
"Why do I care?" I care because even though we might think we live in a place we might think its safe many people can go wrong at one point. So I say people need to take care of themselfs and make the right dissions in their life, and how to keep your self from going under because nothing good comes out of crime.

"The Vision Of Students Today"
"Vision of Students Today" shows how most if not all of students on the 21 century learn diffrent from when education was barely coming up in the world. Most student today realie on technology and effects how they learn either more effeciante or less, depending on the type of student. Most students don't do what their told because of the teachers teaching skill and how they teach today not knowing the type of learning style their student have so the student struggle. The way students use technology can be used as an advantage or disadvantage. Students also use their time as they please today not haveing a organized schedule can make them use their time not to do home work but other activities. this can relate to many students today including in our own school, i do the same things sometimes i blow off home work to listen to music, play video games, hang out with friends, or go online this concludes into me not doin so good in school and struggling alot in school. "The Vision of Students Today" shows how far student have to go to keep up with school and how much ed. has changed over the years. It also shows how much more we can go with education to day if we truly work at it but we cant acomplish that without the guidens of our teachers.
